Celebrating our lifesavers – award nominations open

Do you know a lifesaving member who has achieved something extraordinary in season 2021-22? You can nominate them for our 2022 Awards of Excellence and Valuing Volunteers Events now!

As we reflect on another successful patrol season, Life Saving Victoria (LSV) will recognise the many courageous acts of service and incredible milestones achieved by our volunteers this season.

This year, we will be doing things a little differently, by celebrating the Valuing Volunteers Events across the state with three dedicated celebrations in our central, east and west regions, to say thank you to our lifesavers within the communities they have made their impact.

On Friday 20 May, we will celebrate our central region volunteers at Mordialloc Life Saving Club, followed by our western volunteers at Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club on Saturday 21 May and then, our eastern region volunteers at Cape Paterson SLSC on Saturday 28 May.

Our Awards of Excellence, which will be held on Saturday 6th August, will remain a formal affair with an evening dinner and awards ceremony to recognise the most outstanding achievements of season 2021-22, including Club of the Year, Lifesaver of the Year, Beach Lifeguard of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. We are looking forward to celebrating these exceptional achievements in person this year, after two years of online events.

Nominations for Awards of Excellence and Valuing Volunteers Evening are now open, and the recognition manuals for both events are available, so be sure to check them out and get nominating!
