Blue Connections returning to keep us together in lockdown

Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is relaunching its Blue Connections program, to help keep people in the aquatic industry connected and supported during Victoria’s sixth lockdown and beyond.

Blue Connections is a networking personal and professional development series that connects volunteers and staff from the aquatics, emergency services, education, sport and recreation sectors, each quarter to share and grow through specially designed workshops.

The relaunch session will feature professional mentor and leadership coach and Mojo Crowe director Ben Crowe as a keynote speaker, to share his knowledge of helping people with their professional mindsets and personal perspective and balancing the two to feel confident and fulfilled.

Mr Crowe has worked with some of Australia’s most impressive names in sport, including 2021 Wimbledon champions Ash Barty and Dylan Alcott, three-time AFL premiers Richmond Football Club, seven-time surfing world champion Stephanie Gilmore and the Australian men’s and women’s cricket teams.

“We are so excited to be relaunching Blue Connections with such an incredible guest speaker as Ben Crowe,” LSV industry development coordinator Sheila Langley said.

“Mr Crowe is one of Australia’s most in demand professional mentors and leadership coaches and he has exceptional knowledge of helping people connect with themselves before connecting with others, unlocking greater meaning to our lives and developing a system to enable us to focus on the things we can control, to be the best version of ourselves both professionally and personally.

“This is particularly relevant in the current climate, as we face COVID-19 related lockdowns and restrictions, which is something we cannot control and may be making people feel overwhelmed. We hope to help our members and industry partners unlock the mindset to continue on a path to success despite the challenges we are currently facing.”

Blue Connections will be relaunched via Zoom on Wednesday 13 October from 7pm-8pm, with the following sessions to be held on 4 November 2021, 20 January 2022 and 15 March 2022.
