As a valued individual or representative of an organisation in Life Saving Victoria’s (LSV) network in the aquatic and education sectors, we would like to advise you of an opportunity to be involved in the governance of LSV.
We are currently seeking nominations for the following volunteer positions in our Aquatic Education & Industry Engagement Council (AEIEC):
- 2 x Council Representatives
LSV’s mission is to prevent aquatic related death and injury in all Victoria communities. In working to our mission, the AEIEC is responsible for providing advice on the strategic direction for water safety research, education, awareness, training and pool safety programs.
Note: To ensure that LSV has the right balance of skills to effectively lead the organisation into the future, LSV is seeking nominations from individuals with a range of qualifications, skills and experience, as outlined in each of the position descriptions outlined in the LSV By-Laws. It is also desirable for LSV to encompass diversity in aspects such as gender, age, background and perspective.
This call for nominations is given pursuant to LSV By Law 12.2.4(c).

Following close of nominations, a sub-group of the LSV Governance Committee will meet to consider all nominations. The sub-group will then make a recommendation to the LSV Board. It is anticipated that the LSV Board will meet to formally appoint each of the above positions.
