MHeLP – Mental Health eLearning Program

LSV would like to acknowledge the work of the Belgravia Foundation who launched an industry specific Mental Health eLearning Program (MHeLP) at the Belgravia Foundation breakfast event on 11 February 2021.

The program is aimed at staff and volunteers working in the leisure sector (leisure centres, sports stadiums, fitness and aquatic centres, fun parks, caravan and holiday parks, wellness centres) and sport sectors and has two timely and critical desired learning outcomes:

  1. Provide staff and volunteers with a greater awareness of mental health in sport and leisure, with the capacity and confidence to advocate and take action when appropriate, within scope of practice.
  2. Enable onsite leaders to be equipped to support their venue/location staff and volunteers in completing the MHeLP program.

Created in conjunction with multiple industry collaborators across Australia and New Zealand, with expert input from specalists around the globe, the MHeLP program is freely available and a must for industry personnel during this difficult period.
