Congratulations to all of the teams that entered the 2020 Youth Innovation Challenge. The quality of innovations, presentations and work produced was amazing, we would like to acknowledge how exceptional the innovations were this year. Well done to all teams for their efforts and to the Clubs for their support.
And now to the winner of the 2020 Youth Innovation Challenge… after combining the panel marks and the public votes –
Congratulations Team Woolamai Beach taking out the overall winners of the 2020 Youth Innovation Challenge!
“LSV Beach” App, not only showcased the teams’ creativity in presenting but also looks to support LSV’s strategic plan and key focus areas by using gamification to educate, engage and connect with members. The inclusion of project partners to support the development was well planned and refined the sustainability of the initiative. The detail, creativity and quality of work were outstanding. A big congratulations to Hayley Cameron, Lachlan Cameron and Nathan Bain, fantastic work!
When combing both the public vote and panel’s marks, we have Team Port Melbourne and Team Altona with both outstanding submissions trailing just behind Team Woolamai. LSV has decided that all three submissions this year were very worthy initiatives that would benefit the membership; as such we are pleased to advise we will work with each of the teams to develop these innovations to pilot with the membership.
Congratulations to Team Port Melbourne LSC for the innovative program – Operation Nippers. This program was very popular amongst the membership and we look forward to supporting Team Port Melbourne in implementing this program. Charlotte Bree, Zoe Dale, Siena Mapley and Imogen Brodej, should all be extremely proud of their innovation and how they presented their idea throughout the course of the innovation challenge – well done girls! Team Port Melbourne takes out this year’s People’s Choice award.
Congratulations to Team Altona who developed a very unique and creative video to display CEP, an innovative Club Exchange Program. The idea was for members to participate in an exchange to another club to experience different beach conditions and club atmospheres to enhance skills and gather a wider understanding of the various beaches across Victoria. What a fantastic idea! LSV can’t wait to assist Tadhg Sheenan, Alice Henry, Heath Cory, Zachary Caldwell, Clara Piccinelli and Rory Theodore (Team Altona) in further creating and implementing their innovation. Congratulations Team Altona!
