Industry Stimulus Package

LSV and ARV worked on an industry stimulus package proposal, guided by Sport And Recreation Victoria. This package is combined with an outdoor sector proposal being put to the Minister for Community Sport on the 27th July. Should the Minister endorse the proposal it will be put to the Crisis Council of Cabinet for funding consideration.

The stimulus package addresses community safety, employment and environment through an aquatic lens. That is: learn to swim and water safety, training cost relief and investment in environmental sustainability infrastructure. As with all these things there are no guarantees of success. LSV will continue their advocacy through state government channels and would encourage those entities that are “for profit” to continue their business survival advocacy pursuits with our support.
