LSV is pleased to release an updated ‘Return to Play Plan for Aquatic Facilities’, following the most recent State Government announcement on restrictions. The resource now reflects the different restrictions for Metro Melbourne (including Mitchell Shire) and Regional Victoria.
The purpose of the document remains the same, as a practical tool to assist aquatic facility owners and operators prepare for / continue their ‘Return to Play’ activities.
The tool focuses on available risk mitigants relevant to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and how they can be applied at aquatic facilities. It leverages the Sport and Recreation Victoria – Return to Play Plan template and has been customised for easy use and localised application throughout the different reopening phases.
The plan is aligned to the guiding principles issued by the Department of Health and Human Services, Sport and Recreation Victoria and the Federal Government and is provided in a four-step process.
Step One – Identify your risk mitigation techniques from the lists provided.
Step Two – Complete the risk assessment template for complex or higher risk activities.
Step Three – Make decisions on complex or higher risk (likelihood) activities.
Step Four – Apply the risk mitigation techniques, monitor, review and update.
