The training team have been working hard to find alternative ways to deliver industry training in recent months. They’ve also made improvements to existing courses and have developed some new ones. In acknowledging this difficult period, a 25% discount has been applied on LSV Pool Lifeguard and LSV Swim Teacher course fees until 31 December.

Whilst many courses will have a different look and feel (reduced capacities / individual equipment etc), to meet social distancing and hygiene measures, the standards remain the same to meet compliance obligations and industry expectations.

CPR and First Aid Courses

LSV’s face to face CPR and First Aid courses will have a different look and feel when they resume from the 1st June. If you can’t wait until 1st June, you’ll be pleased to hear that we’ve also introduced a webinar version of the course as well as an @Home option, both of which are available now.

First Aid –

Pool Lifeguard

Pool Lifeguard courses will resume from 1st of June, with initial efforts focusing on re-qualification / updating of those already holding the qualification. Working with hub facilities to assist in effective and efficient delivery, new online learning resources and improved classroom resources will be used to continue to drive standards in this important course.

Pool Lifeguard –

Swim Teacher (incl. Extension Courses)

Similar to Pool Lifeguard courses, LSV Swim Teacher courses will resume from the 1st June, leveraging hub facilities and applying the necessary adjustments to meet social distancing requirements.

In new developments, we’re just a matter of weeks away from introducing our New Blended Swim Teacher course. This course will leverage a new online learning resource (complimented by classroom and pool practical training), to provide Swim Teachers with the best possible start in the industry.

We’re also just a few weeks away from introducing our two NEW extension courses; LSV Teacher of Infant and Toddler and LSV Teacher of a Person with a Disability. Both courses are nationally accredited and aligned with the GSPO.

Swim Teacher –

Aquatic Technical Operator (ATO)

The ATO course has traditionally been a three-day face to face course, but this is about to change. Acknowledging the time pressures on industry personnel, we’re finalising the development of online learning content which will increase flexibility and improve access.

The team are also working on a NEW Pool Water Testing course for those who complete pool water testing, but don’t require the full ATO qualification. These two new course options will enable facilities to meet their obligations, as set out in the DHHS ‘Water Quality Guidelines for Public Aquatic Facilities’ document.
