Like LSV’s Swim Teacher course, LSV have worked with swimming experts during the development of the content, and key industry personnel throughout each design phase. The objective is to ensure best practice information is provided in a flexible manner to enable ongoing professional development for swim teachers in the areas required to meet key learner groups. This is the first of two extension courses designed for existing Swim Teachers in the aquatic industry, developed by LSV.
This release marks the fifth completed phase in the LSV Swim Teacher project due to be finalised in the first half of 2020. On explaining LSV’s move into the Swim Teacher space, CEO Nigel Taylor says “Learning to swim is one of the key drowning prevention strategies consistently identified at a State, National and International level. We’re pleased to be able to support the Victorian Aquatic Industry by offering cost effective access to high quality Swim Teacher training, that will assist in addressing the increasing demand for Swim Teachers”.
