LSV’s Education Instructors have the opportunity to deliver our vital water safety programs, the Open Water Learning Experience (OWLE) and Sink or Swim – Meet a Lifeguard (SorS) Programs, to students across Victoria. These roles are casual-based and flexible, meaning you can work as much or as little as your schedule allows! Applications for Education instructors are sought annually from July with interviews and recruitment processes taking place from September.
Open Water Learning Experience (OWLE) Instructors and Team Leaders have the opportunity to deliver vital water safety programs to students across Victoria. Program delivery locations vary from beaches, lakes, rivers, pools and classrooms from Geelong all the way out to Mornington, with the opportunity to also take part in week long tours throughout regional Victoria.
Education Program Leaders deliver a range of programs such as Sink or Swim (SorS), Virtual Excursions (VE) and Virtual reality (VR). These incursions can be face-to-face and virtual delivery to school-based/community participants of all ages across Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
Our Instructors come from a variety of backgrounds providing an array of experience and knowledge including: Lifesaving club members, student teachers, sport and recreation and paramedic students, retired/semi-retired teachers and stay-at-home parents!
