Jan Juc takes out 2019 Victorian Junior Pool Lifesaving Championship

Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) is the 2019 Victorian Junior Pool Lifesaving Overall Club Point Champion, after a day of hot competition at WaterMarc in Greensborough recently.  

Jan Juc SLSC finished the day on an overall point score of 275.75 points, ahead of Black Rock Life Saving Club (LSC) in second place on 216.25 points and Altona LSC in third place on 194 points. 

“Thank you to all of our officials, team managers, volunteers and athletes on a wonderful 2019 season and a great state championships,” says Kirsty Clark – LSV Manager, Sport.

“This competition provides the chance for our junior athletes to engage in active training by conducting simulated rescues, with the manufactured-pressure of a race situation, in a controlled pool environment.” 

“This active training prepares the juniors perfectly for their future careers as lifesavers on patrol at our beaches.”
