LSV is pleased to be able to facilitate its first dedicated workshop aimed at assisting pool owners / operators in understanding best practice examples of how to implement the new supervision requirements of the updated GSPO.
Industry thought leaders in aquatic risk and pool safety will be presenting and facilitating discussions throughout the workshop.

12.10pm: Overview of updates to Aquatic Supervision in the GSPO
1.00pm: Best Practice Application Examples from Industry
2.00pm: Workshop Activity – Supervision Assessment – Assess the effectiveness of a supervision program and identify risks
3.00pm: Workshop Activity – Supervision Planning – Design an effective Supervision Plan under guidance from an expert
4.00pm: End of Workshop
Presentations: A selection of industry representatives have been chosen to present based on their facility’s implementation of best practice examples of applying the new GSPO Supervision requirements. These presentations are informational and designed to plant seeds as to how facility owners / operators might address the requirements in their facility and will assist facility owners / operators in benchmarking against industry.
Workshop Activities: The workshop activities are designed to be interactive group activities that give participants the opportunity to interact and test theories / methodologies in a safe and supportive environment where input from industry experts can assist them in formulating their own aquatic supervision strategy.
What You Need to Know
The workshop is aimed at professionals that are responsible for the Management of Lifeguards (GSPO SV8) and / or are the owner or operator of a public pool.
The workshop will outline what your responsibilities are in relation to the new requirements of the Aquatic Supervision section of the GSPO and give information and practical resources on how to fulfill your responsibilities and implement a best practice approach to pool supervision.
