SEDA and Life Saving Victoria (LSV) work closely together to provide young people the opportunity to work with aquatic industry experts.
LSV and the SEDA Aquatics program have established a positive partnership, providing young people with not only an opportunity to work with aquatic experts, but offering a meaningful pathway to future employment and study in the industry.
The strong relationship between both organisations has allowed us to offer students relevant and industry specific work placement and the opportunity to deliver water safety programs such as the LSV Open Water Learning Experience to schools and community groups on behalf of LSV.
These experiences contribute to the educational development of the young people by encouraging leadership, event management and teaching/coaching skills, all of which are essential to the program. It also gives students the chance to up skill by completing a variety of qualifications including their Community Surf Life Saving Certificate.
