New Online Learning for First Aid and CPR courses

Life Saving Victoria RTO 21799 are excited to announce that we have launched an extended suite of First Aid and CPR Training with brand new online learning and two new courses.

Following is the list of the courses now available for groups and individuals both in a full and update format.

HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID003 Provide first aid
HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting
HLTAID006 Provide advanced first aid

All these courses come with the option of a blended format which includes a combination of online and face to face content. It can often be challenging to complete professional development in the classroom when you are working full time. This course format allows teachers and educators the flexibility to complete theory exams online at their own pace and reduce the contact hours in the classroom. The LSV trainer can focus on the practical skills required so that every individual is adequately prepared to act in the event of an emergency.

When organising teacher training, checking paperwork from new / potential teachers or auditing the qualifications of existing teachers, it is vital to ensure that the training is i) from a registered RTO, ii) formally recognised (accredited) and iii) inclusive of ‘units of competency’.

When checking training documents, look out for the following details on the ‘statement of attainment’:

i) Nationally recognised training logo (below)
ii) Organisation RTO id and corporate identifier
iii) Unit of competency code
iv) Unit of competency title
v) Issue date
vi) Authorizing officer signature

For all additional qualification requirements, please refer to the Department of Education & Training guidelines.
