Platinum Pool Program

LSV would like to congratulate and acknowledge the following teams who demonstrated excellence in aquatic safety and were subsequently reaccredited as Platinum Pool.

  • Carlton Baths
  • Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre
  • Kensington Community Recreation Centre

To achieve accreditation, facilities had to undergo mystery guest visits, achieve 100% compliance in a Pool Safety Assessment and demonstrate active implementation of the Watch Around Water program.

The receipt of Platinum Pool accreditation is recognised as a sign of excellence within the Industry. http://lsv.com.au/platinum-pool-program/

Everyday Lifesavers

Let us know if you have any Everyday Lifesavers at your facility and ensure that they are properly recognised for their actions.

Everyday Lifesavers are those people whose actions save the life of another. This could include the rescue of a person with a pre-existing medical condition/injury or stopping somebody from getting themselves into a dangerous situation, before they require rescuing.

We are proud to support the Everyday Lifesaver campaign within the aquatics industry and are always excited to hear how facility staff and patrons are making a real difference in the community.

ARV 2018 Metro Industry Conference

Aquatics and Recreation Victoria are now taking submissions for industry professionals to present at the Metro Industry Conference in September 2018.

If you have professional knowledge that you would like to share with others, ARV would love to hear from you. In addition, ARV would also welcome recommendations of presentations from outside the industry that can help the industry.

ARV are looking for presentations that are insightful, engaging, and most of all will help delegates and the industry work towards a better industry.

Successful applications will be provided with a presentation time during the two-day program which is to be held at the Pullman On The Park, East Melbourne. In addition, ARV will provide the presenter with a video recording of the presentation for ongoing use after the completion of the conference.
